Welcome to Whitney High School Counseling Department Home Page

A well-qualified and professional counseling staff is available to assist Whitney High School students with academic counseling, college and career planning, personal counseling, and crisis intervention. Students may request to see a counselor by completing a referral form located in the Counseling office. Parents who wish to meet with their student's counselor may call or email for more information (see Counselors link above). Be sure to check the website and school calendar for upcoming college and counseling events for students and parents.

  • Assistance with creating an appropriate College Application list and with organizing the college application process
  • Assistance with organizing application materials and meeting deadlines
  • Workshops for writing college essays and preparing for interviews
  • Letters of Recommendation and contact with University representatives as appropriate
  • College Information News for parents and students on website.

    Personal Counseling

    School counselors are available for parent conferences and referral resources as needed or upon request.

    Crisis intervention counseling, drug and alcohol abuse prevention information, education, and referrals are always available.
